Maureen Chandler Reid is an actor, writer and producer with a background in both film and theatre. Originally from New York and now based in Florida, she is drawn to character-driven stories that balance humor, humanity and the unexpected.
Her acting training includes the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, the British American Actor’s Program in London and the Powerhouse Theater Program at Vassar College. Her stage work has ranged from comedy to drama, with roles including Madame Arcati in Blithe Spirit, Margaret and Jean in separate productions of Good People, Ouiser in Steel Magnolias and Fiona in Four Weddings and an Elvis.
Maureen has also expanded into writing and producing her own films. She wrote, produced and starred as Carol in the dark comedy mockumentary, Cashing In, earning Best Lead Actress at the 2026 LOL Jax Film Festival. She continues to develop new film projects while pursuing roles that allow her to explore complicated, funny and deeply human characters.
